How do we define excellent? Imagine someone who had not been to the dentist
for quite a while. Theoretically they could go to one of our participating
providers and get the office visit, four x-rays, six fillings and their
teeth cleaned for a terrific $6.00. That's assuming they could stand that
much treatment at one time and that the dentist was willing to do that
much work in one visit. But, the economic picture remains the same, i.e.,
$6.00 visits and 100% coverage on many procedures.
You will also be pleased because there is no limitation on pre-existing
conditions!
Everyone qualifies for inclusion in this insurance program regardless
of how long it has been since you've gone to the dentist. You cannot be
discriminated against simply because you need a lot of dental work. In
fact, in some ways it almost seems like a budget plan for your teeth if
all you need are cleanings, x-rays and lots of fillings. And, even the
procedures which have a cost associated with them have greatly reduced
prices. Check out caps/crowns. Although you have to pay for these additional
procedures at the time of service you do benefit from greatly reduced
prices.

Yes, as an individual living in Maryland you get the same excellent coverage
that large businesses get for their employees. There is also a one time
membership fee of $25.00 payable with your enrollment. So your check for
the first month will be the monthly premium + $6.50 + $25.00. With just
those nominal start-up costs you can get the same high benefit dental
program that large company's have enjoyed for years.
When you send in your enrollment form you need to include the Enrollment
Fee (a one time charge), the monthly administrative fee ($6.50)
and the first month's premium. Include with your Enrollment Form:
For yourself only:$47.00 (to enroll and then we'll bill you monthly for only
$22.00.)
For yourself plus spouse or one child: $58.50 (to enroll and then we'll bill you monthly for only
$33.50.)
For Family Coverage:$66.00

When you call one of our participating dentists be aware that, depending
on how new the receptionist is, they may not recognize the name "Superior
Dental Group". We are a group, a small part of TDC providing coverage
for individuals. At one time this plan (TDC) was referred to as the "Randmark"
plan. Then a couple of years ago it was purchased by the Humana Health
Care system and renamed "The Dental Concern"
or "TDC".
As a Superior Dental Group member you should be able to say, "I have
dental coverage with TDC/Humana", and get immediate recognition but
it seems that few dental offices are aware of the name change and only
respond to the name "Randmark". That's okay as long as it does
not confuse you!
You will become part of the Superior Dental Group under the TDC (Randmark)
contract with the dentist and have the AT94 Schedule of Benefits.
Fillings: normal fillings are completely covered as noted above. However,
sedative pads/fillings, gold fillings, extra large (four surface resins
cost $37.00), pins when necessary, do have a cost associated with them.
Everyone in the family has to use the same family dentist. The dentist
you use must be a participant in the plan or you will have absolutely
no coverage. In addition, you must use the participating dentist that
you originally signed up with unless you have called member services at
1-800-720-5948 and changed to another dentist in the network.
