If you live in Maryland
there's no doubt that we have your two best options with the Maryland
Preventive Dentistry Program and Superior Dental Group.
But if you don't live in Maryland
one particular competitor of ours, DentalInsurance.com,
is probably worth checking out simply because of the wide variety of plans
and programs they carry. We once tried to line up a lot of different programs
ourselves in order to compete with them but it turns out we don't have
the resources necessary to negotiate the rates they came up with.
DentalInsurance.com
has national plans as well as a number of regional plans that might be
just what you're looking for today. But, remember, if you live in Maryland
no one has a program good enough to beat ours!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UMDNJ will offer its students, postdocs, and their dependents a dental insurance plan, DeltaCare, effective January 1, 2003. Students may enroll in this plan on a voluntary basis; it is not required insurance.
Students interested in participating should enroll on-line through University Health Plans-Dental (Quincy, Mass.). The on-line enrollment form, plan benefit highlights and a list of network dentists can be found by linking to www.universityhealthplans.com . Once on the web site, click "University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey", and then click "Dental." (Please note that Cumberland County is out of place and the Essex County listing continues.)
Students and dependents who wish to participate must enroll and pay the full amount via credit card on-line by December 13, 2002 to be eligible for the January 1, 2003 start date.
As part of the enrollment process, you must select a DeltaCare participating dentist. The enrollment form will not be accepted without this selection. UMDNJ has worked closely with DeltaCare to enroll many of our dental facilities and providers statewide in the DeltaCare Network. The web site includes a complete, up-to-date list of participating providers.
Students with questions regarding the enrollment process should contact University Health Plans via email at info@univhealthplans.com or at 800-437-6448.
